Saw what I would describe as the perfect Galaxie 500.

Seriously, the paint was this absolutely stunning deep dark green.

The interior looked period correct/oem but with everything being made from the highest quality possible materials.

And holy shit, it’s actually got a 390! But not just any FE...

An all aluminum big block Ford?!

With a period correct six-deuce manifold, converted to EFI?!?!

With a Tremec 6060?!?!?!

That car is maximum awesome!

That’s probably one of the most creative uses I’ve seen of the NC’s retractable top.  I always thought the NA/NB soft tops were great donors for people wanting to build a convertible out of a coupe.

It looks like it’s more than just the top, just look at the lines of the doors! It almost looks like they used the whole tub of a Miata, and added extra metal on top of the doors...

Wow, I think you’re right.

In the build book sitting next to the car there were suspiciously few photos of the top and windscreen, and nothing about where they came from. However, there was a picture of another “41 Ford” sitting next to it in their garage...

... it was the same front end grafted onto a PT Cruiser convertible.

I laughed out loud.

These boomers need to be stopped.

LOL I love those ‘60s Galaxies. The trunk is beyond massive. I had a highschool friend that had a 64 Galaxie 500 and that car was HUGE!
